‘Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.”’

Loving my neighbour as myself doesn’t require me to look for a special moment to help, nor to seek out someone to rescue; however, it does require an honest awareness that I generally care to a level that is comfortable for me, yet in contrast expect much more when I’m the one wanting.
When it comes to living this out, the questions I want to ask myself are:
– If I were on the receiving end of my own care, would it be enough for me?
– Is my care the kind of care I’d want to receive? Or would I want more?
