Renovating an old house often uncovers items in need of repair or replacement.
Interesting how many of those things get attributed to “some idiot” who “didn’t do it right the first time…”
We’ll find ourselves discussing at length what “they” should have done. We might even try to make sense of their “why?”
But there’s no actual point.
We’re just wasting time.
Blame and anger for what we’ve inherited – either from poor workmanship or neglect – won’t change what needs to be done.
When we focus our attention on what happened in the past, we dilute our attention and our problem-solving ability at this moment.
Only attention to the work at hand plus action will resolve this. Talking about what should have been done won’t change a thing.
